GREENWOOD - Jack Vincent Wootten Sr., of Greenwood, passed away at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md., on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008. He was 74.
He was a son of the late Chester and Daisey Wootten.
Jack retired as a farmer working for Mr. Marshall Elliott's farms. He was also known for his work on racehorses, his favorite being O.G.'s Express.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Wilkerson of Greenwood and Marie Hall of Newark; his sons, James V. Wootten of Smyrna and Robert Wootten of Lincoln; his sisters, Gertrude Bradford of Salisbury and Anna Lee Robinson of Bethel; his nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, where friends and family may call one hour prior to the service.
