Jack M. Beck, 94
DOVER - Jack M. Beck passed away on October 28, 2021.
Mr. Beck was an educator for more than 30 years, serving in Kentucky and Delaware. At the same time, he worked in the catalog department of Sears Roebuck and Co. Also, at the same time, he served as a Southern Baptist Minister. Mr. Beck was a member of Faith Community Church. He was also a member of the National Education Association (NEA), the local Delaware State Educational Association and the American Legion. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany during World War II. Mr. Beck enjoyed sports, golf and basketball.
His wife of 69 years, Wanda Lee (DeWeese) Beck, passed away in 2017. He is survived by his two daughters, Michelle G. Saunders and her husband Eric of Dover and Deri L. Austin and her husband Jim of Dover; five grandchildren, Dawn N. Walker (Ray), Michael D. Prouse, Erica S. Saunders (Brandon), Jennifer L. Yoder (Robert), and Jessica L. Ouren (Dustin); and seven great grandchildren, Jasmine, Darnell, Makayla, Bobby, Scarlett, Alona and Juliette.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Faith Community Church, 2240 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
