FREDERICA - Jack C. Hann, Sr., of Frederica, formerly of Pittman, N.J., passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Harbor Healthcare Center in Lewes. Jack was born in Philadelphia, son of the late William E. and Minnie (Eisenhuth) Hann. He was a civil engineer for 40 years and owned and operated his own company, Jack C. Hann P.L.S., previously Planners, Inc., Williamstown, N.J. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and had a career with the US Army, retiring as a Captain after 20 years' service. While still residing in New Jersey, he was a member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine (Flemming) Hann, in 1979; a son, Jack C. Hann, Jr., in 2000; and a brother, George E. Hann. He is survived by his wife, Edith E. (Coulter) Hann; three children, Kathy E. Hann, of Monroeville, N.J., David E. Hann, of Barrington, N.J. and Drew Ray Hann, of Marion, S.C.; five step-children, Craig D. Wilson, Williamstown, N.J., Karen L. Sorensen, of Blackwood, N.J., Edward D. Wilson and Kelly W. Wilson, both of Sarasota, Fla., and Walter Wilson, Jr., of Bowers Beach; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and one brother, William E. Hann, Deer Park, N.J. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, with visitation after 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
