Isabel Russell Todd, 89

SEAFORD - Isabel Russell Todd of Seaford passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007, in her son"s home surrounded by her loving family in Wyoming. She was 89.

Mrs. Todd was born July 12, 1917, in Reliance, Dorchester County, Md., daughter of the late Amos and Viora Edith Waller Russell.

She was a 1934 graduate of Hurlock High School and a 1938 graduate of Madison College, Harrisonburg, Va. She also had advanced studies at Cornell and Towson State Universities. She worked as a teacher in Caroline County for the Preston and Ridgely Schools for 26 years until her retirement in 1964.

She spent much of her time enjoying watching birds and reading.

Mrs. Todd was a member of the Cokesbury United Methodist Church, the Caroline County Bird Club, and the Maryland Ornithological Society.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, A. Welton Russell who passed away Feb. 21, 2003; and a son, Jeff S. Todd who passed away July 1, 2002.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert C. Todd whom she married April 26, 1941; a son and a daughter-in-law, Michael R. and Donna Todd of Wyoming; a brother, Ralph T. Russell of Aurora, Ill.; five grandchildren, Kevin R. Todd, Sean A. Todd, Darron M. Todd, Shannan T. Bisese and Brian R. Todd; and three great-grandchildren, Holly A. Todd, Regan M. Todd and Mariah A. Todd.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Williamson Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Federalsburg, where friends may call one hour earlier. The Rev. David Heistand will officiate.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Federalsburg.
