Irma Price Middleton

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Irma Price Middleton of Chestertown, Md., died on Aug. 8, 2010, in Chestertown, Md. She was 97. She was born in Baltimore, Md., on March 29, 1913, the daughter of Leroy Hillary and Theresa Naomi Parks Price. She graduated Easton High School class of 1931. In 1932 she married Willard Howard Middleton, they lived in Baltimore, Md., where she worked at Wyman's Shoe Store until 1945. They moved to Chestertown where she worked with The Peoples Bank as a teller, loan officer, and bookkeeper for 32 years. She retired in 1980. On April 25, 1985, her husband predeceased her. She is a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Chestertown. Mrs. Middleton enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She volunteered at Magnolia Hall Nursing Home (now Chester River Manor) where she baked cakes for the residents for many years. She is survived by her brother, Walter Howard Price of Baltimore, Md. Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Chestertown, where friends and family may call one hour prior (10 to 11 a.m.). Interment will be at Chester Cemetery.
