Irene B. Coleman, 85
Irene B. Coleman, of Hartley, passed away at her home on Friday, August 4, 2023.
She was born December 30, 1937 in Townsend, Del to the late Elwood and Pearl (George) Foraker.
Irene loved to travel, camping, and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandmom and she was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Howard R. Coleman, Sr., her brothers: Tommy, Reds, Claren and Ricky, her sisters, Louise and Pauline, son Gary Coleman, and granddaughter, Chelsea Hutson.
Irene is survived by her sons, Howard Coleman (Peggy), Ronald Coleman (friend, Diane), daughter, Brenda Pressley (Bill), 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Gidget.
A viewing from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday evening, August 10th, will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 1575 Bryn Zion Rd., Smyrna, DE 19977. The funeral service will be held at the church on Friday, August 11th at 11 a.m., with a viewing 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Townsend Cemetery.
