Ilean L. Everett

DOVER - Ilean L. Everett, of Dover, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at her daughter's home in Berlin, Md. She was 87. Ilean L. Everett was born Jan. 31, 1924, in Bradley, W.Va., the daughter of the late Robert Lafferty and Elizabeth Bowyer. Mrs. Everett spent most of her life as a homemaker raising her family. She enjoyed reading, shopping, traveling, playing cards, and listening to music. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Hamilton; and one sister, Ruby Shawver. She is survived by one son, Robert B. Hamilton of California; three daughters, Elizabeth A Peden of New Castle, Brenda S. Barbato of Elkton, Md., Kay Jamison of New Castle; one sister, Kathleen Pietowski of Bradley, W.Va.; one brother, Charles Hamilton of Charlestown, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home 370 Cypress St. Millington, Md. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be held in the Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Bear, following the service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice, Old Ocean City Rd Salisbury, MD 21804.
