Hugh Theodore Brown Jr.

MILFORD - Hugh Theodore Brown Jr. passed away on May 19, 2016 at the Milford Manor in Delaware. Hugh was born in Hamilton, Va. on Nov. 7, 1947. He was the son of Hugh Theodore Brown Sr. and Jean K. Brown. Hugh graduated from the University of Maryland with a dual Master's Degree, after his retirement from the Army Corp of engineers. He was an U.S. Army Veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne, and a respected member of the San Gorgonio County Search and Rescue Team. He enjoyed researching his family's genealogy, U.S. History/Military history, evening walks, shuggies, and irritating his grandchildren. Hugh Brown is survived by his best friend and mother of his children, Kristi L. Jenkins; son, Joshua Erik Brown; daughters, Josie Caliente Gay and Jessie Elise Trapnell; mother, Jean K. Brown; grandchildren, Savannah Leigh Brown (the apple of his eye), Austin William Trapnell, Andrew Joshua Brown, Hayleigh Bradlyn Forrest, Holly Laine Trapnell, and Emily Scarlett Trapnell; sisters, Jean, Joan, June, Beth, and Ann. A funeral was held at the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please forward your shotgun shells to… Arrangements in the care of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford, De.
