GEORGETOWN - Howard M. Slaughter of Georgetown died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 84.
Mr. Slaughter was a mechanic for the state of Delaware for 15 years.
He was an umpire for the Georgetown Little League for several years. He enjoyed watching baseball and stockcar races.
Mr. Slaughter was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Georgetown and was a past president of Georgetown Kiwanis.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Conoway Slaughter; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Howard M. Slaughter Jr. of Seaford and Curtis L. and Audrey Slaughter of Laurel; and two grandchildren, Bruce Patterson and Josh Patterson.
Services will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association of Delaware, 422 S. Governors Ave., Dover, DE 19904; or the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 625, Georgetown, DE 19947.
