Robinson, 72 DOVER - Howard E. "Buddy" Robinson passed away from this life into the Loving Arms of his Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at his home at Luther Towers in Dover. He was born June 7, 1941 to the late Howard E. Robinson and Vivian Robinson Moffett. Buddy loved working on cars in his younger years. He was known as a very good Auto Body Technician. He also worked in the New Castle County Court system as a Security Guard till he retired due to poor health. Many would remember Buddy as a country music player and singer. He played with several local bands such as the Green Sleeves, Starlighters, and Melody Rangers with Earl Teat. He played as back up for country singers such as Dave Dudley, Mel Street and Lefty Freezle and Jack Greene. The best he enjoyed was when he played and sung with his nephews Jeff and Charlie Robinson in their "South Bound" band. Howard is predeceased by his mother and father, Vivian Robinson Moffitt and Howard E. Robinson; two brothers, Francis R. and John L. Robinson, Sr.; and one sister, Verna I. Yearicks. He is survived by his son, Jesse and his wife Laura of Seaford; three daughters, Mary, Lillian, and Crystal of Pa.; two brothers, Charles Robinson of Townsend, Del. and Robert Robinson of Lockport, N.Y.; four sisters, Jeanette Yearicks of Lakeland, Fla., Doris Crist of Clayton, Del., Clara Lockwood of Sudlersville, Md., and Sharon Wright of Dover, Del.; and many grandchildren and extended family members. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 6 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna, DE. where memorial services will begin at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Buddy's memory be made to American Heart Association, 200 Continental Drive, Newark, DE 19713 or to the Diabetic Foundation of your choice.
