GEORGETOWN - Hope Furuya Stoeckel passed away on July 8, 2013. Hope was born in Tule Lake, Calif. on May 28, 1944.. She graduated from Bridgeton HS and continued on to receive her Masters in Education from Wilmington College. Hope is survived by her spouse, Allan C. Stoeckel; her sons, Kirk A. and Christopher M. (Jill); and her grandchildren Jasmine, Veronica, Anthony, Ryan and Mia. A Memorial Service will be held on July 20, 2013 at Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE. Family will be greeting guests at 1 p.m. and services will begin at 2 p.m. There will be a reception to follow at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Georgetown, DE. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Delaware School for the Deaf, 630 E Chestnut Hill Rd., Newark, DE 19713. Please memo all donations to Kirk Stoeckel.
