LINCOLN - Hildegard "Hilde" Schrock, of Lincoln passed away peacefully at the Delaware Hospice Center on Monday May 9, 2016. Hilde was born Nov. 20, 1933 in Hanau, Germany to the late Karl and Erna (Josephine Elisabeth Dietrich Eisermann) Vormwald. She immigrated to the United States in 1958, after which she spent years traveling the United States as a military wife, and then settled in the Milford area in 1975. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, as well as a faithful friend to all that knew her. She never lost her "feisty spirit" in life and was always a joy to be with. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, spending time at the Milford Senior Center, going to auctions and sales, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also member of the Milford Moose Lodge 2316. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Crystal Ford of Daytona, Fla.. She is survived by her children, Butch "Jeremiah" Ford of Daytona, Fla., Richard Ford of Plano Texas, Ed Ford of Camden, Del., Wanda Torrie of Milford, Del., sister, Gerda Koontz of Indianapolis, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her faithful canine friend, Heide. Cremation was chosen with a celebration of life service to be held at the Milford Moose Lodge, 20142 Beaver Dam Rd., Milford, DE 19963 at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14th, 2016. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Hilde's memory to be made to, Milford Senior Center, 111 Park Ave., Milford, DE 19963.
