Hilda Martha Kerr, 90

MILFORD - Hilda Martha Kerr of Milford passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, in Milford Center. She was 90.

Mrs. Kerr was born March 11, 1916, in Hartly, daughter of the late Benjamin and Almina (Hunking) Farrow.

She graduated from Dover High School.

She was employed first with the former Farmers Bank, then as a bookkeeper with Derrickson"s Men"s Clothing Store in Milford, before joining her husband in his accounting firm in Milford. After his death in 1984, she accepted employment with Faw, Casson & Co., a public accounting firm in Milford, retiring in 1989.

Mrs. Kerr was a member of Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford, were she participated in the Sunshine Bible Class and the Mary Circle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon William Kerr; two brothers, Joseph Farrow and Edgar Farrow; and two sisters, Myrtle Harman and Ella Ennis.

She is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law, Raymond V. and Penny Kerr of Plantation, Fla.; Kenneth J. and Kryl Kerr of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; and Robert W. and Caroline Kerr of Felton; and three granddaughters, Stephanie Sanders and her husband Eric of DeBary, Fla., Kathryn Miller and her husband Peter of Troy, Va., and Robyn Kerr of Plantation.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church St., Milford.

Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, U.S. 113.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church St., Milford, DE 19963.
