Hilda M. Norton, 98

LEWES - Hilda M. Norton of Lewes died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, in the Country Rest Home, Greenwood. She was 98.

Mrs. Norton was the daughter of the late Walter and Augusta (Bauman) Shomo.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Norton was a member for many years of the Farm Bureau, and served as the Women"s Committee chairman in Howard County, Md. She was also a member of the Groome United Methodist Church, Lewes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Norton, in 1978.

She is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Philip S. and Jane G. Norton of Lewes; three sons and two daughters-in-law, James P. and Melissa Quillen and Mitch and Trisha Quillen, all of Crumpton, Md., and Jeff J. Norton of Annapolis, Md.; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Groome United Methodist Church, Lewes.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Groome United Methodist Church Building Fund, 600 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
