Harrington - Hilda J. Satterfield died April 2, 2014 in Country Rest Home, Greenwood. Mrs. Satterfield was born on May 23, 1923 in Rock Hall, Md., daughter of the late Henry and Ida Mabel Elburn Jones. She was a homemaker and has lived in Harrington for 60 years. She helped her husband train and race sulky horses and owned the Heleina Acres Farm in Harrington. Hilda was a past member of both the Trotters Association and Harrington Seniors. She loved going to the slots, gardening, swimming and boating. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Franklin R. Eastman in 1957 and John L. Satterfield in 1994; three brothers, Harry, James and Arthur Jones and a sister, Daisy Jones. She is survived by two sons, Robert F. Eastman and James R. Eastman both of Harrington and their families; and her friend of many years, Paul Wilhelm of Dover, DE and his family; also seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 8 at 11 a.m. in the Asbury United Methodist Church, 200 Weiner Ave., Harrington, DE, where friends may call 1 hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Wesley Cemetery, Rock Hall, MD.
