Hilda Frances Smith Sample

GALLOWAY, N.J. - Hilda Frances Smith Sample departed this life on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at Royal Suite Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Galloway. Born in Painter, Va., she was the daughter of the late Lewis Allen Smith and Bessie Harmon Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. Sample.
She will be lovingly remembered by: a daughter, Herles Sample Taylor (Mervin); two sons, Allen Sample (Carole) and Kenneth Sample (Cherry); a brother-in-law, Alfred J. Cade; seven grandchildren; a foster granddaughter; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Mrs. Sample will lie in repose on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Antioch A.M.E. Church, 194 Clayton Avenue, Frankford. The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. A ministry of comfort and dignity is being provided by Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home, P.A. in Salisbury, Md.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations, in memory of Hilda Sample, to Antioch A.M.E. Church Outreach Ministries, 194 Clayton Avenue, Frankford, DE 19945.
