LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Connor Calvert kicked three field goals, including a 32-yarder with 6:20 remaining, to lift Wake Forest to a 30-27 upset win over No. 16 Louisville. Gio Lopez threw for 225 yards and a touchdown on 12 of 19 passing for the two-TD underdog Demon Deacons. Carlos Hernandez caught nine passes for 194 yards, just three yards off his career best. Ty Clark III rushed for 91 yards on 21 carries and scored two touchdowns. Lincoln Kienholz completed 27 of 36 passes for 324 yards with a touchdown and his first interception of the season.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — Darian Mensah passed for 338 yards and three touchdowns, plus ran for another score as No. 6 Miami capped an unbeaten September by rolling past Central Michigan 52-3 on Saturday night. Malachi Toney caught six passes for 120 yards and a touchdown for Miami (4-0), and all four of Mensah’s touchdowns came in the second quarter. Cooper Barkate and Daylin Upshaw also caught scoring passes from Mensah, who completed 23 of 27 throws. Even with only four incompletions, Mensah’s completion percentage for the season actually dipped. It’s now 88.7%, down slightly from the 89.9% clip he had entering Saturday for the Hurricanes.

DALLAS (AP) — Kevin Jennings threw for 464 yards to become SMU’s career passing leader as the No. 22 Mustangs overcame an early 10-point deficit for a 34-24 win over Missouri State. Jennings finished 33-of-39 passing, including a school-record 21 consecutive completions, with three touchdowns and an interception. Yamir Knight had 11 catches for 164 yards with a late 28-yard TD, and Jalen Cooper caught eight passes for 125 yards. Jennings surpassed the 9,081 yards and 718 completions that Ben Hicks had from 2016-18. Jennings also had a 1-yard touchdown run. Tight end Theo Melin Ohrstrom had two TD catches.

STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Davis Warren passed for a career-high 396 yards and three touchdowns to lead Stanford in a 34-27 comeback win over Georgia Tech. Stanford trailed 20-10 after a Georgia Tech touchdown in the second quarter, but scored touchdowns on three consecutive drives in the second half after managing only one TD in the first. Georgia Tech’s Alberto Mendoza threw a touchdown to Jaiven Plummer in the fourth quarter to make it a one-possession game. Trelain Maddox scored both of Georgia Tech’s first-half touchdowns.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Duke Scott bounced outside to the left for the go-ahead 16-yard touchdown run with 5:08 left that helped N.C. State overcome a blown 21-point lead and beat Appalachian State 41-31 on Saturday night. Scott ran for 148 yards and two TDs for the Wolfpack. That came on a night when N.C. State was trying to regroup from a shocking loss at Vanderbilt on a last-second fumble that was recovered for a score. Malachi Singleton threw for 317 yards and two touchdowns while also running for a score to lead Appalachian State.

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Walker Eget and Dan Mahan combined to throw five touchdown passes as Duke rolled past William & Mary 62-7 on Saturday. Duke running back Nate Sheppard, who entered the week with a nation-best 528 rushing yards, gained a season-low 116 yards, including a 19-yard touchdown. He had nine carries. The Blue Devils (4-0), stretching back to last season, have won eight consecutive games for the first time since 2013. Winston Watkins threw for 137 yards and a touchdown for William & Mary (2-3), which lost its third in a row. The Tribe had 170 yards of total offense.

BOSTON (AP) — Jeffrey Overton Jr. ran for a 76-yard go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter as Virginia Tech rallied for a 21-14 victory over Boston College in a game played in a nor’easter.Ethan Grunkemeyer went 22 of 35 for 147 yards and a TD. John Love added two field goals for the Hokies (4-0, 1-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), who have won their first four under first-year coach James Franklin. It’s their best start since 2017.BC QB Mason McKenzie ran for 138 yards with two touchdowns, and also completed 11-of-23 passes for 111 yards in a contest played in bands of rain and swirling winds with gusts up to 40 mph in front of a mostly empty stadium in the second half.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Mason Heintschel passed for 403 yards and six touchdowns as Pittsburgh rolled past Bucknell 59-0. The Panthers reached the end zone on their first five drives, with Heintschel spreading the ball around. The sophomore completed 29 of 37 passes to nine different receivers in just over two quarters. Censere Lee caught three touchdowns for Pitt, the most by a Panther wideout since 2022. Freshman Demetrice McCray scored twice, including a 48-yard pass late in the first half that put Pitt up 35-0 at the break. Bucknell struggled offensively. The FCS-level Bison didn't cross 100 total yards until the fourth quarter. Pitt won despite XX penalties while improving to 4-0 for the second time in three years.
