
Henry Yeager, Jr., 80
SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Henry Yeager, Jr.passed away on December 12, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Yeager was born on February 15, 1940, son of the late Henry Yeager, Sr. and Lucy Pearson Yeager. He was raised on a farm but at the age of 22 he became a carpenter, working for Alton Darling Construction for 26 years. He continued working for himself until May 2020.
Henry loved country music, playing bass and singing since his teens. He was in many bands over the years including, Sound Masters, Country Brew, Southern Country and Country Combination. Henry played music at Senior Centers including, Crumpton, Sudlersville, Clayton and Frederica and also Joe's Place. He also loved spending time with his grandkids and working in his garden.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, David Pearson, Raymond, Irving and Johnny Yeager.
Mr. Yeager is survived by his wife, June Yeager; sons, Steven Yeager (Tiffany) and Thomas Yeager (Kellie) all of Sudlersville; five grandchildren, Brooke, Cody, Jase, Alexis and Abigail; siblings, Doris Gross (Winton) of Venus, Fla., Marian 'Betsy' Embert (Calvin) of Sudlersville, Shirley "Doodie' Ennis (Robert) of Smyrna, Del., William 'Billy' Yeager (Dorothy) of Goldsboro, Md and Robert 'Bobby' Yeager (Dottie) of Galena, Md. and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, Md. where funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial in Sudlersville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to Galena Funeral Home to help with expenses.
