SMYRNA - Henry Miller passed away at his home on Friday, March 2, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Miller was born March 20, 1929 in Boissevain, Va., the son of the late Paul Miller and Jannie (Holler) Miller.
He served his country with honor in the U.S. Army, Mechanized Calvary Division during the end of WWII.
He retired after a long career as a UAW for the GM plant in Newport.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandy McGinnis of Smyrna; his son, James Miller and his wife, Verna Faye of Clayton; four grandchildren, Shannon J., Shawn H., Jaime, and Dustin; 13 great-grandchildren, Orion, Ella, Leo, Damien, Sabrina, Xavier, Shawn, Courtney, Zack, Kiersten, Cassidy, Kyle, and Lil John; two great-great-grandchildren, Aliahana and Michael; and his sister, Sadie Miller of Christiansburg, Va.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Grandview Memorial Gardens, located in Bluefield, Va.
