MILFORD - Henry Joseph Garrett, of Milford, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 59.
Mr. Garrett was born in Berlin, Md., son of the late William Edward Paul Sr. and Mildred (Sutton) Garrett.
He graduated from Dover High School in 1966.
Mr. Garrett worked at Milford Memorial Hospital in environmental services for several years.
He was a member of Avenue United Methodist Church, Milford.
Mr. Garrett was a devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Donna Lee (Walker) Garrett; a stepson, John Francis Masters Jr. and his wife Jaime Lynn of Millsboro; a stepdaughter, Wendy Ann Masters and her husband James Robert Igou of Bear; a son, Obediah Schimp of Washington; two brothers, W.E. Paul Garrett Jr. of Dover and Robert Garrett of Rochester, N.Y.; one sister, Charlotte Cox of Marydel; and three grandchildren, John Ryan Masters, Ashley Lynn Masters and Nathan James Masters.
A celebration of life will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Avenue United Methodist Church, Milford.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church St., Milford, DE 19963.
