Mr. Blob was born Aug. 13, 1929, in Cheltenham, Pa., the son of the late Max Blob and Frieda Bohner Blob. He and his twin brother owned and operated Blob's Delicatessen until they retired in 1994. The Delicatessen was originally started by their father in 1932. Bobby was an avid Philadelphia sports fan of the Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers. Bobby enjoyed traveling and taking cruises, and especially enjoyed his dream trip to Germany two years ago, where he had the time of his life. He is survived by his loving wife, Maryann Blob; three daughters, Susan Harrell and her husband Raymond of Hendersonville, Tenn., Lisa Lange and her husband David of Smyrna, and Beth Williams and her husband Thomas of Daretown, N.J.; 11 grandchildren, Christopher, Missy, Tim, Amanda, Frank, Kasey, Samantha, Josh, Rosalie, Shadoe, and Lindsey; a great grandson, Ezra; his twin brother, Max; and his sister, Freddie. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Thursday Dec. 23, 2010, in the Faries Funeral Chapel located at 29 S.
