
Henry Edward Justice
Henry Edward Justice, son of the late Wilroy and Henrietta Justice, was called from labor to reward on Sunday, August 1, 2021; while praising the Lord during worship service at Apostolic Church of Faith; Mt. Dora, Florida.
A Public viewing will be held 9 – 11 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Dickerson Chapel A.M.E. Church, 28845 Dupont Blvd, Millsboro, DE 19966. A Private Celebration of life will follow. Interment will be in Old Field Cemetery, Millsboro, DE.
Henry was the eighth of sixteen children born in Millsboro on June 24, 1952. Like the other fifteen, Henry received his Christian foundation at Dickerson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church and gave his life to Christ at an early age.
Henry received his early education in the Millsboro School system and graduated from Sussex Central High School in 1971. Henry was an accomplished athlete as he lettered in wrestling and football, while attending Sussex Central High School. He was a member of the Delaware All Star Team; playing in the Annual Blue and Gold game at the University of Delaware in 1971. Henry was well known as one of the best wrestlers in the state while finishing second in the state in the 175-weight class during his senior year. After high school, he attended Delaware State College.
Henry obtained seasonal jobs inasmuch as cold weather was not his preferences which lend itself as to why he lived in Florida.
Henry never tried to copy anyone's way of doing things. He was very creative and had a special way of making Truth be told, he was the best cook of the brothers in the family. At the "Big House," he would keep the yard landscaped and looking good. Henry also had a way of persuading people to help others who needed assistance or those who were discriminated against. He was a radical for justice and had no problem with confronting anyone who treated others unfairly.
Henry loved the Lord and his family. He also had a passion for street evangelism. While living in Mt. Dora, Fla., Henry became a member of the Apostolic Church of Faith; as a diligent member of the prayer ministry and landscaping service. People from all walks of life knew him because of his kind, easy-going personality. He was a joy to be around and always kept you laughing.
In memory and celebration of his life, Henry leaves to cherish his four grandchildren; Deseray of Houston, TX; Breanna, Gregory and Geoffrey Jr. of Port Arthur, TX; and eight great grandchildren; six brothers, Harold (Brenda) of Millsboro, DE., Wilbur (Beatrice) of Dover, DE., J. Stanley (Darlene) of Dover, DE., Lester (Wanda) of Salisbury, MD., Anthony (Elizabeth) of Newark, DE, Emanuel (Virgie) of New Castle, DE., five sisters, Charlotte (Melvin) of Georgetown, DE., Judy (Maurice) of Federalsburg, MD., Rebecca (Gerald) of Millsboro, DE., Iris (Richard) of New Castle, DE and Yvette (Floyd) of Preston, MD; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends.
Henry was predeceased by his parents, Wilroy and Henrietta; his daughter; Isha Fatima Justice-Morris; brothers Clarence, John, William and sister Connie.
