Dover - Helen W. Nishenko passed away in her home, Friday, March 30, 2018.
Helen was born Aug. 3, 1923, in Fairchance, Pa., and had lived in the New Kensington area for many years. She was a devout catholic, and an avid member of the church.In her free time she enjoyed traveling and dancing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Anna (Sczerbata) Wierney; her brother, Joseph Wierney; her sister, Sophia Wierney; and two nephews, Michael and Thomas Wierney.
Helen is survived by her great-nephew, Jeremy Wierney and wife, Kelly; with whom she resided; great-niece, Heather Parkins, of Westminster, Md.; and great-great-nieces and nephews, Joseph and Samantha Wierney, Felicia Marsh, Lorianna and Jessica Parkins, and Ryan Burns.
Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018, in Union Cemetery, Arnold, Pa. Condolences may be sent via: www.pippinfuneralhome.com
