DOVER - Helen Haass away Tuesday December 9, 2014 at Milford Hospital. Ms. Haass was born Janaury 23, 1932 in Dover, to the late Richard Haass and Anna B. Haass. She was an entrepreneur of many sales businesses and was co-founder of Haass Family Butcher Shop in Dover. Ms. Haass enjoyed harness racing, and a Miami Dolphins fan and had live in Florida for 25 years before coming back to Dover in 1992. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, R. Paul Haass, and William Haass. She is survived by her sisters, Doris Loukadis, Mary Rash; nephews, Jeff Haass, Sr., Jeff Haass, Jr., Jordan Haass, Joseph Haass and Jared Haass. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Monday, December 15, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro, Md. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, Del. 19901.
