Helen E. (Lamoureux) Armour, 88
HARRINGTON - Helen E.(Lamoureux) Armour, of Harrington, and formerly of Enosburg Falls, Vermont, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.
Helen was born February 23, 1933 in Enosburg Falls, Vermont, to the late Joe and Lillian (Lafley) Lamoureux. She had many hobbies which included crocheting, doing crossword and seek and find puzzles, and putting jigsaw puzzles together. She enjoyed watching the Game Show Network, and baseball games, especially her beloved Washington Nationals. Her favorite thing to do was watching the many birds that she fed. She could tell you what each of them were by sight and sound.
Helen will be remembered by the the countless stories she told her family about growing up on the farm, but most importantly for her honesty. She was very blunt and straight to the point. Helen will be dearly missed by everyone.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Armour; and two brothers, Joseph and Patrick Lamoureux.
Helen is survived by three children, Lloyd J. "Butch" Armour, Sr., with whom she resided, Donna Hurd and husband, Richard, of Harrington and Jeffrey J. Armour, Sr., (Tomasina), of Greenwood; a brother, Paul Lamoureux (Dorothy); sisters, Joan Kane, Gracie Jones (Bill), Mary Ewins (Richard), and Margaret Elkins, all from Vermont; her grandchildren, Lloyd J. Armour, Jr., Nicole Mahoney, Kasie Hurd, Heather Patterson, Andrea Hurd, and Jeffrey J. Armour, Jr.; 14 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Armour; her very special friends, Betsey Larose, Marcel Parent, and their daughter, Brooke Parent.
Per Helen's request, services will be private.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
Condolence may be sent via: www.pippinfuneralhome.com
