Helen Dorothy Carroll Russum, 82
CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Helen Dorothy Carroll Russum of Chestertown died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, in the Chester River Hospital Center, Chestertown. She was 82.
Mrs. Russum was born April 11, 1925, in Queen Anne's County, the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary Jane "Holden" Carroll.
Mrs. Russum worked for many years on the family farm as well as the Hosiery Mill in Chestertown.
Most recently she enjoyed working as a nurse's aid in the Magnolia Hall nursing center.
Mrs. Russum enjoyed bowling, sewing, needle point and dancing and collecting many different items.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard F. Russum in 1991; and four sisters, Blanch Vonville, Edna Morris, Alice Haggerty, and Ethel Myers.
She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Stella Otting of Homestead, Fla., Lula Jane Hutchinson of Dundalk and Julie Boyd of Chestertown; one sister, Mary Virginia Hopkins of Felton; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday in the Fellows Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington, where friends and family may call after 11 a.m.
Interment services will follow in the Crumpton Cemetery, Crumpton.
