Harry L. Campbell, 78

FELTON - Harry L. Campbell of Felton passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 78.

Mr. Campbell was born and raised in Oyster, Va., son of the late Orem and Mamie Campbell.

He served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy for 16 years, serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars.

Mr. Campbell was employed with Jolly Roger Amusements, Ocean City, Md., and managed their mini golf course.

He enjoyed the outdoors.

Mr. Campbell was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, both in Ocean City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Hudson.

He is survived by his wife of six years, Alta (Stowman) Campbell; a daughter, Roseanne Kelley of Salisbury, Md.; a son; a sister, Beulah Hudson of Salisbury; three stepdaughters, Linda Carter, Debbie Allen and Diane Hackett; two stepsons, Kenny Carter and David Carter; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three aunts; several nephews; three step-grandchildren, Dusty, Kyle and Missy; and four step-great-grandchildren, Adam, Ashley, Sierra and Savannah.

Services will be 7 p.m. today in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call one hour earlier.

The Rev. Louis Bowers will officiate.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of choice.
