Harrison 'Leroy' Church, 68

BRIDGEVILLE - Harrison "Leroy" Church of Bridgeville departed this life Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in the Green Valley Terrace, Millsboro, after a long illness. He was 68.

He was born Nov. 25, 1938, to the late Henry and Rachel Church.

Leroy was employed by Perdue Foods until his illness.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby (Cox) Church of Bridgeville; four daughters, Rachel Burton of Camden, Geraldine Gibbs of Millsboro, Shirley Smith of Milford and Katherine Church of Seaford; two sons, Leroy Church of Bridgeville and Alvin Church of Cambridge; his sister, Catherine Collins of Philadelphia; his brother, Alvin Church of Germany; two sons-in-law, Tony Burton of Camden and Oliver Gibbs of Millsboro; one daughter-in-law, Keisha Church of Cambridge; and his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and longtime friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Missionary Baptist Church, Georgetown, where friends may call two hours prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Milford Community Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
