Harriett Susan (McGinnes) Rench, 65

DOVER - Harriett Susan (McGinnes) Rench, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008, with family by her side at her son's home in Millsboro. She was 65.

Mrs. Rench was born April 25, 1942, in Dover, to the late Harry and Susan (Jones) McGinnes.

She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post 3238, Camden-Wyoming. She was also a member of the Cooties Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Rench was a secretary for the state of Delaware for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy J. Rench; and her father and mother, Harry D. McGinnes Sr. and Susan Jones McGinnes.

She is survived by his sons, James LeRoy Rench of Dover and Scott Rench of Millsboro; a stepson, LeRoy Dietert of Massachusetts; daughters, Bonnie Sue Fisher of Brandon, Fla., and Kathleen Ann Rench of Dover; brothers, Harry McGinnes Jr. of Crestview, Fla., and Jerry McGinnes of Millersville, Md.; sisters, Florence "Sissy" Eckeard of Kenton, E. Jane Fierstein of Huntingtown, Md., and Sandra L. Burr of Keysville, Va.; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Lauer; and seven grandchildren.

Remembrance services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trader Funeral Home, Dover.

Burial will be follow at 1 p.m. at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.

Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Trader Funeral Home, Dover.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Delaware Hospice, 911 Lotus Plaza, Dover, DE 19901.
