Harriet Diane Yanero, 76
Harriet D. Yanero passed August 3, 2021, peacefully in her sleep early morning.
She was born November 20, 1944, in Chester, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Dorothy A. Schlagenhauser and Hank J. Schlagenhauser.
Harriet graduated from Camp Lejeune High School, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Class of 1962. After school, she married the love of her life, Richard F. Yanero. They lived for a time in Syracuse, New York before settling in Dover, Delaware. They celebrated 58 years together in November.
Harriet was predeceased by her parents.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Richard F. Yanero, are her sister, Kathy Farmer and her husband Gary Farmer of Dover; her children, Kenneth A. Yanero and his wife Lori Yanero of Felton, Richard J. Yanero of Felton, Diana F. Yanero Gosnell of Dover, and Paul B. Yanero and his partner Nikki McKinney of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; her grandchildren, Kenneth R. Yanero of Felton, Ashley R. G. Hall and her husband Douglas L. Hall Jr. of Frederica, Ericka P. Yanero of Magnolia, Taylor P. Kent and her husband Frank Kent of Harrington, Terren A. Yanero of Harrington, and Paisley N. Yanero of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.
A service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 East Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover, Delaware 19901. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Those who wish to give their respects to the deceased and the family are welcome at 10 a.m.
