MILFORD - Harold P. Brown, Sr. passed away peacefully from the Delaware Veterans Home of Milford, on Friday, July 22, 2022. Mr. Brown was born in Harrington, Del., the 6th of 9 children to the late Odoth and Ellae Brown.
Mr. Brown served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the 1950's. He worked as a mason for many years, and enjoyed what he did. When he was not busy at work, he enjoyed playing golf, and watching his favorite team, Philadelphia Phillies. In high school he was an avid baseball player, and was the record holder for 18 consecutive hits.
Mr. Brown was known for his great sense of humor. He enjoyed a good joke and loved to tease everyone around him. He was well liked and respected by all that knew him and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Brown; siblings, Marvin E. Brown, Elwood R. Brown, Wayne R. Brown, Norman E. Brown, Grace Wainwright, Anna Lee Hitchens, Alvin Brown.
He is survived by his son, Harold P. Brown, Jr.; sister, Joann Bowdle; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
A Graveside Service for Mr. Brown will take place at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington, on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 11 a.m.
