MARYDEL - Harold John Daufenbach went to be with the Lord Feb. 2, 2011. "Duff", as he was known, died peacefully at his home in Marydel surrounded by his family after a long illness. A retired United States Air force Veteran, he had served at numerous airbases around the world. He loved anything and everything about airplanes and sharing his knowledge while volunteering at the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover Air Force Base. He worked at Reichhold Chemical until he became ill in 1982. He was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church in Marydel, Maryland. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Daufenbach; one son, Melvin Daufenbach of Marydel; two daughters, Carla J. Daufenbach and long time companion Dr. Robert Gorkin, of Marydel and Pamela J. Bright of Felton and her husband Brian; seven grandchildren, Samantha Rhoads, James Bright, Sarah Bright, John Bright, Amanda Daufenbach, Rebecca Daufenbach, and Dean Cooper; two great-grandchildren, Payton Bright and Braydan Rhoads; he is also survived by a brother, Ernest Daufenbach of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; stepbrother, Roland Alexander of Memphis, Tenn.; long time friends, Barry and Tammy Burhman of Camden, and Tony and Kim Smith of London, Kentucky. Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Thomas Chapel Cemetery, Chapeltown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Calvary United Methodist Church, Att: Carolyn Thomas, P.O.
