Harlisa Jean Fooks, 38

GREENWOOD - Harlisa Jean Fooks of Greenwood departed this life Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 38.

Harlisa was born Sept. 10, 1969, at Milford Memorial Hospital.

She was employed by Wendy's, Milford, before her illness.

In 1997, Harlisa gave her heart to the Lord and joined New Birth Christian Center, Greenwood, under the pastorship of Willie A. Pierce. She was the Sunday school teacher for the nursery aid children, where she will be sadly missed. She was also very involved with the youth activities and was a member of the choir.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband, Derrick Fooks of Seaford; her parents, Harvey and Gloria Bowman of Greenwood; a son, Robert Pierce of Greenwood; a daughter, Jelisa Pierce of Greenwood; a sister, Elizabeth Short and her husband Derron of Harrington; two brothers, John Bowman and his wife Nicky of Harrington and David Bowman and his wife Antonia of Greenwood; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at New Birth Christian Center, 101 Addix Ave., Greenwood, where friends may call one hour before services.

Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
