HARTLY - Gwendolyn Ann Ehst of Hartly, formerly of Dover, passed away, Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 at home with her beloved family.
Mrs. Ehst was born Sept. 28, 1926 in Reading, Pa. to the late John Wilber Lloyd and Mary Ann Evans Lloyd.
She was a homemaker and had volunteered at the Murphy Day Care, as well as Booker T. Washington Elementary School in Dover, through the Foster Grandparent program. Mrs. Ehst enjoyed a full life!
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Clark in 1989; and her son, Mark Edward in 2015.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Allen (Angela), Eric Christopher, David Frederick, Carl Stephen (Colleen) and Michael Ehst (Angela); daughters, Kathryn Ann Ehst, Barbara Jean Ehst, and Susan Lynn Ehst; daughter-in-law, Sheila Chip Ehst; brother-in-law, William Ehst (Mary); a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ehst wished not to have a memorial service, but instead for all those who loved and cared for her to do a good deed for someone in need. A private funeral will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Delaware and/or Delaware Hospice in her name.
Letters of condolences may be sent and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
