Grace M. Carey

DOVER - Grace M. Carey passed away Monday, May 23, 2011, in Silver Lake Center. She was 95. Grace was born on Nov. 15, 1915, in Felton, daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Mackey) Rash. She had worked for the Delaware Motor Vehicle for 25 years. Grace enjoyed traveling, playing cards, doing macramé, painting and ceramics. She was a member of the Wyoming-Camden Round Table Club. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Carey in 1985; and her son, Jess W. Carey in 1977. She is survived by her daughter-in-law and caregiver, Mary Jo Carey of Woodside; three grandchildren, Michael Carey and his wife Ellen of Clayton, Mark Carey of Woodside, and Robert Carey of Woodside; three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Caitlin, and Jess; two nephews, Steve Rash of Texas, and Ken Rash of Virginia; and several great nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 27, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
