FELTON - Grace Ida Kersey, of Felton, died Sunday, December 25, 2011, at Milford Center. She was a lifelong resident of Delaware and attended the Felton and Viola U.M. Church. She was a lifetime member of the Felton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary 30th District, the Republicans Club, the Avon Club and enjoyed ceramics, bird watching, oil painting and different crafts. She was also past president of the Harrington Century Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Gardner Kersey; parents Samuel Sherwood and Louise Barnard Sherwood; son Leland G. Kersey; and her sister, Pauline Krouse. She is survived by a niece, Pauline L. Fry of Felton; nephew, Samuel J. Krouse of Felton; and a special friend and caregiver, Irene Peterson of Felton. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011, in the Chapel of Berry Short Funeral Home Main Street, Felton, Del, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, DE.
