SMYRNA - Grace E. Usilton of Smyrna passed away at home Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, with her family at her side. She was 70.
She was born July 3, 1936, in Sudlersville, Md., the daughter of the late Silas and Elsie Weller.
She lived in the Sudlersville area for most of her life and moved to Smyrna 10 years ago.
She was a homemaker and was a member of the Lillian Smith Senior Center, Clayton.
Grace will be remembered as a kind, caring, and compassionate person to everyone who knew her. She enjoyed country music, going out to eat and shopping. She was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Earl Usilton; two brothers, Howard Weller and Alfred Weller; and three sisters, Estel Hadaway, Elsie Mae Wood and Mary Addie Schelts.
She is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, David and Tammy Smith of Sudlersville; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Joyce and Charlie Morris of Smyrna, Andrea and Matt Sammons of Dover and Barbara and Ron Russum of Greensboro, Md.; a stepson and his wife, Willard Earl Jr. and Linda Usilton of Columbia, S.C.; six grandchildren, Michael Usilton of Smyrna, Steven Usilton of Secretary, Md., Dawn Cordrey of Greensboro, Megan Smith of Sudlersville, Kristen Usilton of Columbia, S.C., and Michelle Sells of Dover; a brother, Charles Weller of Sudlersville; a sister, Frances Ruff of Templeville, Md.; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call Friday evening from 7-9 p.m.
Interment will be in Templeville Cemetery, Templeville, Md.
If desired, contributions may be sent to Vitas Hospice, 100 Commerce Drive, Suite 302, Newark, DE 19713.
Arrangements are by Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Smyrna.
