BARCLAY, MD - Gloria Ann Ratcliff died at her home on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016. She was born Aug. 6, 1941 in Baltimore, Md. the daughter of the late Rogers Will and Lillian "McKenna" Will. Mrs. Ratcliff was a 1959 graduate of Glen Burnie High School. She married her late husband, James Irving Ratcliff in 1962 and the two started their family together. In 1985 Gloria moved from Pasadena to Ingleside and has resided in Queen Anne's county ever since. Mrs. Ratcliff spent most of her life as a homemaker taking care of her family. She enjoyed going to the Millington VFW, taking trips to the ocean, and having cook outs with her family. Over the years she collected a large variety of bells and also enjoyed going out on the boat, bowling and going to the casino. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Irving Ratcliff; one son, James I. Racliff Jr.; one grandson, Michael Weiland; and two very close friends, Thomas Emerson and Wanda Stansbury. She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Weiland of Pasadena, MD, Lillian Stansbury of Barclay, MD; five grandchildren, James I. Ratcliff III of Ridgely, MD, Carl H. Weiland III of Pasadena, MD, Melissa A. Lam of Ingleside, MD, Paul V. Stansbury Jr. of Marydel, MD, Chelsie A. Stansbury of Barclay, MD; and 10 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 15, 2016 from 5 – 6 p.m. at Fellows Family Funeral Home 370 Cypress St. Millington, MD. Services will be held at 6pm following the visitation.
