Glen M. Culver, 61

MILFORD - Glen M. Culver of Milford died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 61.

Mr. Culver was born in Salisbury, Md., son of the late Melvin and Helen Culver.

He worked at Burris Foods in Federalsburg, Md., as an over shortages and damages manager, and at H & M Bay, for a total of more than 32 years.

He loved to watch TV and spend time with his grandchildren, whom he spoiled immensely, because they were his pride and joy. He really enjoyed life and making new friends. He was very outgoing with a great sense of humor. His heart was big, and with his kind spirit, if someone were in need, he would give that person the shirt off his back. He was always willing to help those who were less fortunate and who were down on their luck. He will be greatly missed not only by his family, but by all those who knew him.

Mr. Culver had been active in the Moose Lodge in Vineland, N.J., and the Moose Lodge in Bear.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Culver; and two brothers, Charles Culver and Donald Culver.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Catherine Culver of Milford; a son, Stephen Culver of Milford; two daughters, Veronica Culver of Harrington, and Lisa Culver, and her fiance, Paul Wilkie, both of Felton; two brothers, John Watts of Marydel and Melvin Culver of Bear; a sister-in-law, Bernice B. Kelly of Bridgeville; a grandson, Sebastian Culver; and a granddaughter, Alexius Wilkie.

Services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. Du Pont Highway, Harrington, where friends may call two hours earlier.

Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Seaford.
