DENTON, Md. - Gladys L. Schaefer of Denton died Monday, July 30, 2007, at the Memorial Hospital in Easton. She was 80.

Born in New Brunswick, N.J., Mrs. Schaefer was the daughter of the late Merton and Anna Louise Johnson Bunn.

She married her husband, George Schaefer of Denton on October 3, 1948.

They made their home in Three Bridges, N.J., until they moved to Denton in 1970.

Mrs. Schaefer was a member of the Caroline Homemakers" Club and the St. Elizabeth"s Roman Catholic Church in Denton.

She was a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Schaefer is survived by two sons, Richard W. Schaefer and his wife, Lisa and David A. Schaefer and his wife, Barbara, all of Denton; two daughters, Louise B. Morris of Morrisville, N.C. and June M. Geczi and her husband, Thomas of Flemington, N.J.; 11 grandchildren, Richard, Loren, Steven, Janna, Jarel, Samantha, Michelle, Angela, Mary, Brian, and Crystal; two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Taylor; three step-grandchildren, Randy, Roderick, and Robert; and five step-great- grandchildren, Kyle, Dylan, Luke, Sarah, and Megan.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Elizabeth"s Roman Catholic Church, First St., Denton.

Friends may call from 9:30-10:15 a.m. before the Mass on Friday at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second St., Denton. The interment is in the Denton Cemetery.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests sending memorial donations to the St. Elizabeth"s Roman Catholic Church, P.O. Box 459, Ridgely, MD 21660; or to the American Diabetes Association, 800 Wyman Park Drive, Suite 110, Baltimore, MD 21211.
