Gladys I. Ennis

Gladys I. Ennis, 101

ODESSA - Gladys I. Ennis, formerly of Odessa, went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 9, 2007, at Broadmeadow Health Care in Middletown. She was 101.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Ennis attended St. Paul"s Methodist Church in Odessa and was a lifetime member of the Odessa Women"s Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Caroline Muelhberger; her husband of 66 years, Dorsey Ennis; four sisters, Amelia, Caroline, Helen and Elsie; a son-in-law, Oakley Banning; and a cousin, Andrew Miller, who was raised by her parents.

Mrs. Ennis is survived by two daughters, Arlene Banning of Middletown and Nancy Walch and her husband James of Princeton, N.J.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Broadmeadow Health Care and Delaware Hospice for their care.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where a visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Old Drawyers Cemetery, near Odessa.
