Gerald Lee Caldwell

Gerald Lee Caldwell, 66 DOVER - Gerald Lee Caldwell, of Dover, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at Delaware Hospice, Milford, at the age of 66. Gerald was born Nov. 30, 1943, in Wilmington. He was predeceased by his mother, Mabel Virginia Caldwell Davidson; and his maternal grandparents, Frank Caldwell and Nellie Feury Caldwell of Fayette Co., W.Va. He is survived by his stepfather, William Henry Davidson Sr. of Westminster, Md., formally of Dover. Also survived are a stepsister, Buffey Mencner of Hilliard, Fla.; and a stepbrother, William Davidson Jr. of New York. He retired from Kent General Hospital after 15 years. The past few years he enjoyed working at the Smyrna Elementary School as a foster grandparent. Per his wishes, arrangements for a private burial are being handled by Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or Smyrna Elementary School, 121 S. School Lane, Smyrna, DE 19977. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
