GREENWOOD - Georgia Taylor Peterman of Greenwood went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, in Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she resided for the last four-and-a-half years. She was 89.
Mrs. Peterman was born March 17, 1918, in Farmington, to the late Lawrence and Pauline Cannon Taylor.
She was a supervisor for H.P. Cannon Co. in Bridgeville for many years.
Mrs. Peterman loved cats and enjoyed taking walks, gardening and traveling.
She was a member and active for many years in the Greenwood VFD Ladies Auxiliary and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She was a beloved and caring mother and grandmother, and will be greatly miss by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Roy Peterman in 1990 and Uhland Johnson in 1998.
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Myrtle and Kenneth White of Delmar, Margaret and Norman Carey of Delmar, and Roy "Larry" and Sarah Peterman of Greenwood; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood, where family and friends may call one hour before service.
Interment will be held at St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to either Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1, Greenwood, DE 19950; or Greenwood VFW, P.O. Box 314, Greenwood, DE 19950.
