BELLTOWN - George Wellson Lee Bundick, 87, of Belltown, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, after a brief illness. George was born April 27, 1923, in Exmore, Va., to the late Hezekiah and Hattie Mae Moore Bundick. George came to Delaware to live in 1943, making Belltown his home. He joined John Wesley UM Church now (Faith UM Church) serving on the Trustee Board, Miracle Workers Club, Men's Charge Choir, and the United Chorus. George worked more than 50 years for Mr. Halsey Knapp at Knapps Orchard and roadside market in Nassau. For many years George could be seen at John WesleyChurch, doing what ever needed to be done if he could take care of it himself. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Catherine E. Bundick; one daughter, Angeline M. and James Tribbitt of Seaford; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Charles E. Bundick of Lewes, and Willis J. Bundick of Lincoln; four sisters, Edith R. Bundick of Lewes, Elizabeth Blango of Wilmington, Virginia Miller of Lincoln, and Annie L. Trammell of Belltown; one sister-in-law, Idella Maull of Lewes; and one brother-in-law, Rev. Braven O. Duffie of Belltown. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, at the John Wesley UM Church, Georgetown and Lewes Hwy., Belltown-Lewes, where friends may call this evening from 6 to 8 p.m., and two hours prior to the service on Saturday.
