George Sanford Clendaniel, Jr. MARYDEL - George Sanford Clendaniel, Jr., 96, Marydel, passed away Wednesday July 21, 2010, at Pinnacle Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center Smyrna. He was born on June 15, 1914 in Hartly, Del. Mr. Clendaniel was a farmer all his life in Marydel, Md. and was a member of the MD Farm Bureau. He also owned and operated Clendaniel Trucking Co. He enjoyed gardening, reading his Bible, attending services at Wesleyan Camp in Denton and going to the Delaware State Fair. He is preceded in death by his wife, Emma Grace Clendaniel in 2004 after 68 years of marriage. Also his son Henry J. Clendaniel in 1974. He is survived by his sons, Louis Clendaniel of Hartly, Del., Carlton Clendaniel of Baltimore, Md., Fred Clendaniel of Milford, Del., Herb Clendaniel of Milford, Del., Frank Clendaniel of Milford, Del.; his daughters, Sarah Green of Marydel, Md., Louise Simmons of Elizabeth City, N.C.; his brothers, Charles Clendaniel of Maryland, Harry Clendaniel of Del., Paul Clendaniel of Del., Herb Clendaniel of Del.; two sisters, Mary Mitchell of Florida, and Sallie Dill of Delaware; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren. Remembrance Services will be held Thursday July,29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Wesleyan Church, 1564 S. State St, Dover, DE. Burial will be at the Barratts Chapel Cemetery Frederica, Del. Friends may call Wed. July, 28, 2010, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St, Dover.
