He then worked for a Wilmington transportation company and a short time as security at KGH, before going to work for DAFB civil service, where he retired at age 72. George was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Dover, where he enjoyed his time spent in the choir, men's group and volunteering. He loved his country and was a proud Philadelphia Eagles fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his newborn twin daughter, Darlene Kay Emswiler and nine siblings. He is survived by two sisters, Lou Belt and Faye Haines; and a brother, Everett Emswiler; his son, David Emswiler (wife Margie); daughters, Doreen Webb (husband Bob) and Dianne Whitby (husband John); seven grandchildren, Emily (Whitby) Ball, Alicia (Emswiler) Mersiovsky, Doug Webb, Matthew Emswiler, Jay Whitby, Ronnie and Andy Webb; and three great granddaughters, Londyn and Lauren Emswiler and Paige Ball.
