VIOLA - George Milton Miller, Jr. of Viola, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 at Kent General Hospital. He was 64 years old. Mr. Miller was born April 22, 1952 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and raised by the late Amelia "Jackie" Horner Harris and John Albert Harris. He worked for the Harrisburg Hospital as an Emergency Room Tech, as well as other hospitals in PA, N.Y., DE, and N.H. Mr. Miller enjoyed being with his family, hunting, fishing, and playing online games. He was president of the Sugar River homeowners association. Due to his love of music, Mr. Miller was a stagehand for Woodstock 99'. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Thatcher Miller, in 2015 and a brother, Terry Miller in 2015. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Chris and Robin Miller of Viola; and a daughter and son in law, Nickole and Tim Parmeter of Ogdensburg, N.Y.; loving companion, Karen Fawcett; siblings, Diana Gonzales, Donnie Miller, Patricia Estep, Donna O'Donoahue; grandchildren, Katie, Melissa, Rebecca, Aric, Arthur, their spouses; and great-grandchildren, Luke, Silas, Annika, and Kinsley; his loving dog, Odie; and crazy step granddog and cats as well as many nieces, nephews and innumerable friends. Memorial services will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E.
