GEORGETOWN - George M. Stevenson, of Georgetown, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 69. George was born in Frankford, the son of the late Lee Irvin and Katherine (Jenkins) Stevenson. He worked in maintenance at Allen's Chicken Plant. He was also a salvage operator picking up old cars. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Linda (Wright) Stevenson; two sons, Phillip and Danny Stevenson, both of Georgetown; and one sister, Lord Jean Willey of Salisbury, Md. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at Old Paths Church of Christ, 18295 Redden Road, Georgetown, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be in Old Paths Cemetery. Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
