Hoffman, 59

GREENWOOD - George John Hoffman, a resident of Greenwood since 1979, formerly of Wilmington, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 59.

Mr. Hoffman was born in Shenandoah, Pa., the son of the late George Edward Hoffman and Helen Heiler Hoffman.

He was an auto body specialist in Wilmington for 35 years, retiring due to a disability.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting, drag racing and working on cars.

He was a collector of guns and military memorabilia.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sandy Caldwell Hoffman; children, Bryan Hoffman and his wife, Donna of Milford, Bruce Hoffman of Greenwood, and Heather Hoffman and fiance", Buddy Story of Milford; two grandchildren, Pebbles Hoffman and Jazmann Hoffman; three sisters, Maureen Snyder, Georgene Hayes and Eileen Doherty, all of Wilmington; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after noon.

Interment will be held in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
