GOLDSBORO, Md. - George "Bud" Edwin Elliott passed away on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014. He was born on Feb. 4, 1943 in Ridgely to the late Clifton A., Sr and Helen E. Eaton Elliott. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Clifton Elliott, Jr. and Francis Elliott; and a son-in-law, Patrick Leister. Mr. Elliott owned and operated Elliott's Service Center of Goldsboro for many years and had been a bus driver for the Caroline County School System since 1994. George was a life member of the Goldsboro Volunteer Fire Company serving as an Engineer. He was also a member of the Hart-Parr Oliver Tractor Collector's Association, the First State Antique Tractor Association, the Harrington Moose Lodge #534 and the Moose Riders. He also enjoyed collecting and repairing clocks, spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his two daughters, Christi Lynn Elliott Leister of Camden, and Lora Elliott Breeding and husband John, of Greensboro; six grandchildren, Morgan Stafford, Riley Stafford, Gracie Dicus, Timothy Leister, Brayden Leister and Catelyn Leister, one great-grandson, Carter Mullins and his loving companion of 24 years, Janice Elliott. A funeral service for George will be on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at 11 a.m., at the Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in the Greensboro Cemetery.
